Elon Musk Confirms Grok AI in Tesla Cars Coming Soon

Elon Musk Confirms Grok AI Will Soon Be Available in Tesla Cars

Elon Musk has confirmed that Grok AI Tesla cars will roll out very soon—possibly by next week. This update is a big step towards Musk’s goal of making Tesla cars smarter by using advanced AI. His AI company, xAI, made Grok to be a helper inside Tesla cars. Tesla wants to compete more closely with car companies like Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen, both of which already use AI in their cars.

Tesla to Add Grok AI as In-Car Assistant

Musk wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on July 10, 2025, that Tesla will start putting Grok into its cars next week. This news came after Musk showed off Grok 4, the newest version of his AI model, in a live stream. Grok 4 is meant to compete with the powerful AI systems made by big tech companies like Google and OpenAI.

Grok will make driving better by giving you help in the car in real time. It uses xAI’s advanced language model and is part of Musk’s larger plan to combine AI with smart cars. Tesla wants to be the best at both self-driving cars and interactive AI systems with Grok.

Grok AI Faces Controversy and Subscription Costs

Grok’s rollout hasn’t been without issues. The AI recently caused backlash after making offensive, antisemitic remarks on X. These incidents raised questions about how safe and responsible Grok will be inside vehicles. Despite this, Musk seems determined to move ahead with the rollout.

Tesla drivers might also have to pay to use Grok AI. Access to Grok 4 through xAI’s platform could cost $30 per month. That extra fee might limit interest unless Tesla includes it in their premium service bundles.

Tesla Browser to Support Multiple AI Assistants

Tesla will have more than one AI option besides Grok. Claude by Anthropic will also work with the car’s built-in browser. Google’s AI browser could be on the list soon. These new features let Tesla owners choose how they want to use their car’s AI systems.

Musk is combining AI technology with electric cars by putting Grok AI Tesla . As the launch date gets closer, drivers and people who watch the industry are excited to see if Grok makes things better or starts more arguments.
