Israel Agrees to Ceasefire With Iran as Trump Warns: ‘Do Not Violate It

Israel Agrees to Ceasefire With Iran as Trump Issues Stern Warning

Israel Agrees to Ceasefire With Iran end their 12-day-long armed conflict after U.S. President Donald Trump brokered a truce and told both sides to strictly follow the agreement. Even though a ceasefire was announced, there were still attacks in Israel and Iran that killed people. This made people worry about how fragile the truce was.

Trump Declares Ceasefire Effective

While on Truth Social, Trump said, “THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT.” DO NOT BREAK IT, PLEASE!” A short time before he spoke, Iran fired more missiles at Israel, killing four people, according to Israeli emergency services. At the same time, Iranian officials said that Israeli forces were responsible for an attack in northern Iran that killed nine people.

Israel Agrees to Ceasefire After Declaring Mission Accomplished

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel had accepted Trump’s offer to end the fighting and that Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile threats had been neutralised. He did say, though, that anyone breaking the ceasefire would be quickly punished.

Tensions Escalated After U.S. Strikes on Iranian Nuclear Sites

In the latest round of tensions, U.S. bombers attacked Iranian underground nuclear facilities over the weekend, which Iran responded to with missile attacks. Fourteen missiles were fired by Iran at a U.S. military base in Qatar, but no one was hurt. Trump downplayed Iran’s response, calling it “a very weak retaliation,” and praised the U.S. military for its strong response.

Israel Agrees to Ceasefire Amid Heavy Casualties on Both Sides

Israel’s cities like Tel Aviv and Beersheba were hit with more missiles from Iran early Tuesday morning. At the same time, Iranian authorities said that a “terrorist attack” in Gilan province destroyed several homes, killing nine people and hurting 33 others. Reports say that Mohammadreza Sediqi, an Iranian nuclear scientist, was one of the people killed in the attack. He is said to have been killed by an Israeli strike right before the ceasefire began.

U.S. Diplomacy Involves Key Regional Players

The ceasefire was secured after intense diplomatic efforts involving multiple parties. Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani played a key role in persuading Tehran to agree to the ceasefire terms. U.S. Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and special envoy Steve Witkoff were actively involved in both direct and indirect negotiations with Iranian officials.

Iran’s Conditions and Warnings on Ceasefire

While Israel Agrees to Ceasefire, Iran has maintained a cautious stance. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that Iran would fully halt military actions only if Israel completely ceased its attacks by 4 a.m. Tehran time. He emphasized that a final decision would be made depending on Israel’s actions.

Global Markets React to Ceasefire News

Financial markets responded positively to the ceasefire announcement. S&P 500 futures rose by 0.4%, signaling confidence among investors. Meanwhile, oil prices dipped as fears of prolonged disruptions to Middle East oil supplies eased.

Trump Claims Victory Over Iran’s Nuclear Ambitions

Trump said again that the U.S. airstrikes had successfully stopped Iran from making nuclear weapons. Vice President JD Vance said the same thing on Fox News: “Iran can’t make a nuclear weapon with the tools they had because we destroyed them.” But earlier, U.S. intelligence agencies said that Iran was not actively working on a nuclear weapons programme. This makes it unclear what the real status of Iran’s nuclear ambitions is.

Israel’s Broader Military Strategy

Beyond targeting nuclear facilities, Israel also struck sites associated with Iran’s political and military leadership, including Tehran’s notorious Evin Prison, which houses political dissidents. Israeli officials made it clear that their campaign aimed to weaken Iran’s ruling regime and its ability to maintain power.

Uncertainty Remains Over the Ceasefire’s Durability

Even though there was an agreement, there are still big questions about whether the ceasefire can last. Israel and Iran have been hostile towards each other for years, and their problems haven’t been solved. This means that a new war could start at any time. Israel agrees to ceasefire for now, though, giving the world a brief moment of peace after almost two weeks of intense fighting.
