Saudi Launches First Arts and Culture Academy to Nurture Young Talent

Saudi launches first arts and culture academy in a groundbreaking move to foster creativity in the Kingdom’s public education system. The Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education are leading this groundbreaking project, which aims to find and support talented students in a variety of cultural fields.

Saudi launches first arts and culture Academy to Begin in 2025 with Dual Campuses

The Saudi Gazette says that the academy will open for business in the 2025–2026 school year. It will accept students in grades 4 (elementary) and 1 (intermediate) when it opens. The boys’ campus will be in Al-Nakheel, Riyadh, and the girls’ campus will be in North Obhur, Jeddah.

Students will follow a dual-track curriculum. In the morning, they will study core academic subjects. In the afternoon, they will focus on cultural education, including drawing, theater, music, and singing. This structure allows students to balance traditional learning with creative development.

Merit-Based Admissions and Evaluation

Admission is based on talent. Students must register through the academy’s official website and complete three steps:

  1. Online registration
  2. Performance assessment and personal interview
  3. Final acceptance (subject to seat availability and results)

This structured selection ensures that only qualified and passionate students gain admission.

Supporting Vision 2030 through Cultural Education

This project is part of Saudi Arabia’s plan to improve its cultural talent. The goal of the program is to make arts and culture a part of public education and connect the classroom to the creative sector. This will help students learn useful skills that support the cultural goals of the country.

In the future, the academy will offer programs for all grades and regions in the Kingdom. This project is in line with Saudi Arabia’s national plan for cultural innovation and sustainability, called Vision 2030.

The Kingdom is making a big investment in its youth by opening this academy. It will encourage the next generation to embrace and explore their artistic potential.
