Trump Warns Israel: Ceasefire on Shaky Ground After Fresh Violations
Trump Warns Israel: U.S. President Donald Trump expressed frustration on Tuesday as both Israel and Iran broke the ceasefire he brokered just hours earlier. Speaking to reporters before leaving for the NATO summit in The Hague, Trump made his disappointment clear. He singled out Israel for launching attacks despite agreeing to the truce.
“Israel unloaded immediately after agreeing to the deal,” he said. He made it clear that these kinds of actions put the fragile ceasefire at risk. He also said that Iran no longer had any nuclear weapons, but he warned Israel directly, “Do not drop those bombs.”
Trump Issues Direct Warning to Israel
Trump told Israel that they shouldn’t attack Iran any more. He made it clear that any more violence would break the ceasefire. It was after new reports of fighting that he gave his warning.
The Israeli military said they saw new missile launches coming from Iran. Israel Katz, the defence minister of Israel, promised a “forceful” response. Israel turned on its air defences to stop any threats that were coming in and told its people to find shelter.
But these claims were denied by Iran’s state media. They said that after the ceasefire, there had been no missile attacks.
Ceasefire Terms After 12 Days of War
The ceasefire, announced late Monday, aimed to end nearly two weeks of fierce conflict. Under Trump’s plan, Iran agreed to halt military operations at 4:00 GMT Tuesday. Israel was scheduled to stop its strikes 12 hours later.
Israel’s government confirmed its agreement to the U.S.-brokered ceasefire. Officials declared that Operation ‘Rising Lion’ had achieved its goals, eliminating “an immediate dual existential threat: nuclear and ballistic.” They also thanked President Trump and the United States for supporting their efforts to neutralize Iran’s nuclear threat.
Despite the ceasefire agreement, tensions remain high. Trump posted on Truth Social to reinforce the truce: “THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT. PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE IT!”
Both sides keep accusing each other of violations. It’s still not clear how long the ceasefire will last. Trump’s strong message, “Trump Warns Israel,” shows how fragile the peace deal is. The US is still involved and trying to keep things from getting worse in the already unstable area.
